Today i was helping my friend to fix an issue. In order to fix it i had to edit .htaccess file which is hidden in Cpanel. Luckily i know how to view hidden files but there is another problem. Before telling the problem let me show you a step by step procedure on how to view hidden files in cpanel
Procedure
Step 1
Login into your cpanel and click on file manager
Step 2
Tick the check box beside Show Hidden Files (dot files) from the pop up window and click GO
Problem
When you click on file manager a pop up window appears there will be two check boxes
1 . Show hidden files
2 . Skip this question, and always open this directory in the future when opening File Manager.
Now if a user ticks the second check box while opening file manager then the pop window doesn’t appear from next time. My friend did the same so i need to find another way to view hidden files. I Google for the solution for few minutes but dint find any and i decided to reset the settings . After searching the whole page i found a link [ reset all interface settings ] at the footer
Now after resetting pop up window will appear when ever we click on file manager
Hope it helped .Would love to hear from you all about the article
